I am a retired mother of 3 beautiful children. When I was younger I loved to go outdoors and relax in the gardens and parks. But ever since I got the surgery on my knee, going outside and enjoying the sun hasn’t been quite as enjoyable as I would have liked it to be.
Then on a beautiful sunny day in May, my children came over early in the morning and surprised me with a early mother’s day gift! It was a shiny new red Stars N Stripes Scooter! I was speechless. The friendly staff showed me all the controls and adjusted my seat, and made sure everything was good. I was quite nervous at first, but it was very easy to use! Within minutes I was speeding around the block!
Now I can go outdoors again with my new red scooter, I no longer have to worry about my knee giving out on me on my walks. I can easily park the scooter and walk around, and once my knee becomes weak, I just step back onto my scooter and ride with ease! It’s wonderful, I am so happy that my children gave me a scooter for my Mother’s Day gift!
I show it off to all my friends.
When I was younger I owned a little Vespa scooter that I drove around locally. It was my baby, and I was sad to see it go. Now that I’m older I wasn’t confident in owning another Vespa or scooter, let alone drive it.
But one day I stumbled upon a Ad in the LA Times, it was very reminiscent of my old scooter so I stopped and took a closer look. It was a simple advertisement, letting people know of the new location at the mall, and promoting some grand opening deals. I was interested, but didn’t think much of it.
But curiosity got the best of me, and I found myself at the mall where I was greeted by some of their friendly staff. I was kind of hesitant at first to ride the scooter, I didn’t want to feel older than I actually was… but I was quite surprised by the speed! The scooter was quite zippy when it wanted to be! I don’t mean to sound corny, but it really took me back, and I ended up purchasing a scooter!
Long story short, it’s great! since It definitely helps with moving around locally. I no longer have to walk everywhere if I don’t want to! Plus, it looks like my old scooter back in the day.
I am the type of person that wants to do everything myself. When I lost the ability to drive due to my poor eyesight, I felt handicap. I hate asking my children to drive me around, even more if it was something within walking distance. But old age makes things harder, and even a 10 minute walk can feel like a thousand miles.
One day my son showed me an ad from the Chinese newspaper. It look interesting so I go to the mall to see, I ride the scooter and I like it so much my son bought for me! Now I feel good again! I can go places by myself without depending on anyone else.
